Kakiemon plate

A border of aka-e enameled floral designs in persimmon, blue, yellow and green, surround a double ring of underglazed blue holding unadorned white porcelain. The edged is gently scalloped. The exterior contains aka-e designs of red, yellow and green with three underglazed rings.  The finished base contains one ring and a kiln spur. 19th Century. 6" (15 cm) diameter, 1-1/8" (1.125 cm) on a 3-7/8" (3.875 cm) foot ring.
