Set of 3 large nesting blue and white (Sometske) Imari bowls. Seriated rim banded on inside with karakura vine motif. Inner body of bowls, white negative space surrounds fruited tree and recumbent horses. Good-luck “bat” and key-link motifs on outside. Largest bowl: 6-3/4” diameter x 3-3/8” deep. Medium bowl: 6” diameter x 2-1/2” deep. Small bowl: 5-1/2” diameter x 2-1/2” deep. Edo period.
