Rimpa-school plate, in iron glaze, decorated with stylized landscape painted under milky glaze producing soft, pinkish-gray effect.  A brook runs through an iris-scattered meadow, evoking the free brushwork of the master, Korin, as mentioned in the calligraphy, brother of Kenzan.  Square, 8-1/4” (20.6 cm) each side x 1” (2.5 cm) deep.  Late Edo
